Conor Flynn

Conor Flynn is a rising fourth year at the University of Virginia, studying in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. He plans to complete his degree in Leadership and Public Policy, along with an Economics minor, in May 2015.

He is interested in facilitating economic development through social entrepreneurship, and he stays actively involved with Student Entrepreneurs for Economic Development at UVA. Additionally, he enjoys studying health-related policy, which motivated him to assist with the Affordable Care Act’s local implementation.

He enjoys running outdoors, and he keeps his athletic dreams alive by playing intramural sports. In his down time, he also likes to play guitar and listen to live music. Since he grew up in Charlottesville, he enjoys giving back to the community in several ways, including coaching youth basketball.

While attending Woodberry Forest School, he studied abroad in Spain for five weeks, staying with families in both Sevilla and Valencia. The experience cultivated his passion for traveling abroad and embracing foreign cultures. Since returning to Charlottesville for college, he has been eager to leave the country again. He looks forward to traveling to Peru this summer and working with the H.I.T. team.
